Terms of Service

Terms of Service

These terms explain the rules for using TARK Learn as a parent or student.

Effective May 28, 2026

1. Who May Use TARK Learn

TARK Learn is an invite-gated learning service for families. Parents create accounts, add learners, create learner codes, and invite students. Students use a learner code once to confirm the parent-created learner profile and create a learner ID and student PIN. If a student is under 18, use of the service must be authorized by a parent or legal guardian.

2. Learning Support

TARK Learn provides study planning, practice, feedback, code practice when relevant, uploaded-note study packs, and parent progress signals. It does not guarantee grades, test scores, AP exam results, school placement, or admission outcomes. Students and parents should review important academic decisions with teachers, schools, or other qualified advisors.

3. Accounts, Profiles, and PINs

  • Parents are responsible for keeping their account credentials secure.
  • Parents represent that they are the student's parent or legal guardian, or otherwise have authority to create the learner profile.
  • Students are responsible for keeping their learner ID and PIN private and using only their own profile.
  • Parents should create learner codes only for children they are authorized to support and should provide accurate learner details.
  • Parents are responsible for keeping their parent email address current for account notices, learner-code support, and any enabled progress digest emails.
  • You must tell us promptly if you believe an account, learner code, learner ID, or student PIN has been misused.

4. Uploaded Materials and Study Data

Parents and students keep ownership of the notes, files, answers, and other materials they provide. By uploading or entering content, you give TARK Learn permission to store, process, analyze, and transform that content so the service can generate study packs, practice, feedback, progress signals, and related support features.

Do not upload materials you do not have permission to use, highly sensitive personal information, medical information, financial information, government IDs, or content that is unlawful, unsafe, or unrelated to learning.

5. AI-Generated Content

TARK Learn may use AI systems to summarize notes, identify concepts, generate practice, explain mistakes, and create parent-facing support prompts. AI output can be incomplete or incorrect. The service saves generated learning materials before showing them again, but students and parents should still review important answers and explanations.

6. Acceptable Use

  • Do not attempt to access another family, student, account, file, or system.
  • Do not use the service to harass, exploit, impersonate, or harm another person.
  • Do not upload malware, harmful code, or content intended to bypass security controls.
  • Do not try to defeat Java runner limits, authentication, rate limits, storage controls, or worker safeguards.
  • Do not scrape, copy, resell, or reverse engineer the service except where the law gives you a non-waivable right.

7. Java Code Practice

Code practice runs in a restricted execution boundary with time, memory, output, and language limits. Results are for learning feedback and may not reflect every possible compiler, runtime, or AP scoring condition.

8. Private Beta and Changes

TARK Learn is currently a private beta. Features, limits, course coverage, pricing, availability, and supported AP subjects may change as the product develops. We may update these terms by posting a new effective date.

9. School or Organization Use

TARK Learn is currently offered as a family-controlled product. Schools, districts, tutoring organizations, or other institutions should not use TARK Learn with students as an organization-managed service unless TARK has signed a separate written agreement covering student data, authorized users, support, security, retention, and any applicable school privacy obligations.

10. Suspension and Deletion

We may suspend or limit access if we believe the service is being misused, a security risk exists, or continued access could harm a student, family, system, or legal obligation. Parents may request deletion of family or student data as described in the Privacy Policy and Children's Privacy Notice.
